Four Options Available

  • Morning Intensive Cookery Course (July and August)
  • One Day Cookery Course ( April to June, September to November)
  • Two Day Cookery Course (April to June, September to November)
  • One Week Intensive Cookery Course (July and August))

Our two day and one week cookery courses are provided with basic accommodation at Island Cottage. The only criteria necessary for attending is enthusiasm for cooking.

MORNING INTENSIVE COOKERY COURSE (July and August)
For two people.

For example: Thursday morning Intensive Duck Class. Preparation of eight ducks: duck stock, duck pâté, duck fat, confit de gésier, duck stew etc.

ONE DAY COOKERY COURSE (April – June, September – November)
For two people.

Course themes: Choice of main course, brown bread, yeast bread, fresh pasta, soups, pastry, sauces, risottos, vegetarian, soufflés, desserts, ice-cream, sorbets. Includes a light lunch. Students can invite a guest each to join them for lunch. 

TWO DAY COOKERY COURSE (April – June, September – November)
For two people.

Day 1: Consists of a morning practical and lunch, the afternoon is free, followed by evening class, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Consists of a morning practical and lunch. Students can invite family and friends to join them for this lunch at a very reasonable charge per person. Departure late afternoon. (Details and timetable available here).

ONE WEEK INTENSIVE COOKERY COURSE (July and August)
For one person.

During the restaurant season there is the possibility of a one week intensive cookery course on Heir island. The student works on a one to one basis with John. Accommodation is included.
